Our toughest test yet came in Cancún against Cancún FC, a side fresh off draws against Mexican Liga MX giants such as América, Toluca, and Pumas. The stage was set for a high-level encounter—and our boys delivered.
The first half saw Cancún FC pushing hard with an all-out attack, eventually scoring around the 25th minute. Still, Verdes stayed disciplined and resilient, holding the line and preventing further damage.
In the second half, Verdes FC took control. With some smart tactical adjustments from the coaching staff, we began dominating possession. Our persistence paid off when Krisean Lopez set up a brilliant opportunity, and Omar Rosas calmly finished to make it 1–1.
In the final moments, a dangerous corner saw Darrel Myvett get a header on goal. The ball stayed alive and found Jordy Polanco, but we were unable to capitalize. The match ended 1–1, a result that showed the growth and readiness of our squad to compete at the next level.
