Verdes FC continues to build momentum in its 2025 pre-season campaign with a solid performance against San Benito FC of Guatemala on Wednesday night at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan. The match ended in a 1–1 draw, with both teams showing competitive energy and valuable preparation ahead of their respective seasons.

Verdes opened the scoring in the 35th minute, when Darrel Myvett found the back of the net following a well-practiced offensive routine. The team displayed confident ball movement and strong discipline throughout the half. However, San Benito responded right before the break, equalizing in the 45th minute to level the match at 1–1.

The second half saw both teams creating opportunities, with Verdes rotating several players to test combinations and build match fitness. The result may have been even, but the performance reflected growing chemistry and readiness within the squad.

As part of their continued pre-season buildup, Verdes FC will participate in a mini quadrangular tournament at the Marshalleck Stadium this Saturday, providing fans another chance to see the team in action. Following that, the squad travels to Cancun, Mexico on Monday for more friendly matches before returning home for the much-anticipated Concacaf Central American Cup debut against Motagua on July 29.
