Verdes FC wrapped up its preseason training camp in Cancún with a strong 3–1 victory over Pioneros in an early morning match. The game kicked off at 8:00 AM and began with adversity as we received a red card within the first five minutes. Fortunately, goalkeeper Nahuel Paz came up big with an incredible save to keep the scoreline even.
Pioneros managed to go up 1–0 later in the half, but the Green Machine wasn’t done. In the second half, the coaching staff made crucial adjustments, and momentum quickly shifted in our favor.
Omar Rosas, coming off the bench, netted the equalizer before Krisean Lopez added another with a beautiful finish. Just before the final whistle, Jouvann Ramos scored a third to seal the win.
With this final test complete, the team has returned to Belize, focused and ready for our Concacaf Central American Cup debut against Honduran powerhouse Motagua on July 29 at the FFB Stadium.
